The complete line of GRP engines have been re developed from the ground up using technology and feedback from GRP's race team around the World. Engine Guru Mario Rossi has been overseeing the project and the no compromise approach of GRP means that this new project will be a winner for sure.
All of the engine parts have been studied very closely and hours of testing materials, shapes and ideas has culminated in probably the most advanced, most anticipated engines to hit the track in 2008. The goal was simple, produce a race winning engine with a no compromise design philosophy which will have very low wear and ultra consistency.
Each engine comes sealed in an outer box with security seals on the exhaust, entrance of the carburettor, fuel intake and on the crankshaft. You also get decals and a product CD containing all the spare parts and the manual including a running in guide!

Engine Features
Conrod

It is produced with a special advanced technological material which excludes the need for a bushing on the piston side. This equates to a lighter conrod for better acceleration and lower rotating mass. It is specially heat treated to withstand extreme abuse and any conditions.
Piston and Liner
The piston is CNC machined for ultimate accuracy in a special aluminium alloy which equates to a very true piston operation in the liner. The new material is designed to have very low wear at any temperature and have lower friction in the liner.

The liner is trued and polished to provide a very smooth chamber for the piston, Again special material is used to reduce wear and eliminate any deformality with heat build up.
Crankshaft

A new design eliminates the need for extra balancing which could work loose and damage the engine plus there will be no vibration. The crankshaft has had the Abrasion Protection System (APS) applied which has been designed to decrease the friction for long term running, like a smooth coating.
Crankcase

New design ensures a very stiff structure in critical areas like the exhaust and carburettor intakes. a special aluminium alloy is used for the press fusion process and combined with the patented system for the port production makes this cranckcase stand out from the rest.
Rear Cover

Again has the APS applied to maintain low friction over the life of the engine and is made from lightweight ergal material.
Carburettor

One piece aluminium alloy which has had the Temperature Control System (TCS) treatment which allows the crankcase temperature to not affect the temperature of the carb reducing in consistent carb settings. All the rubber parts especially the O-Rings have been extensively tested in numerous materials to offer excellent elasticity and resistance to fuel.
