it was off to slough for a sell out event + even more turned up.
150 drivers is a to much for a one day event but very competitive & long.
Scorching temps felt like the med or just normal for us down south.
I personally did not fair well in qualifying & just did not drive well, the extra top boys at the event bumped us all down & my poor qualifying pushed me to the B.
The short 10 minute finals meant carefull driving & conserve fuel so to not stop. The start was clean & stayed in position, I did not push but just waited for other to crash or pit. The stragedy worked as by the 7 minute mark had the lead, the next 3 minuted just drove conservative & kept it on its wheels to take the win & bump up.
The A was a mad dash & a great race, the top 4 got away but the remainder of us had a mamouth clean battle. Slowly pulling through the field myself & Tommy had our own little battle swapping position many times. Nearing the end the couple that had pitted where history & some others running out around 9:30 it would be close. Tommy cut just after the line to clinch 5th with me a nano second behind ahhh so close only to cut on the straight but 6th. What a race thanks tommy best ive had in ages & an enjoyable finish to the day.
