Considering changing from a worn OS speed to the plus 4; what plug and pipe are recommended as all I've ever known are OS engines  Grin (with the occasional RB)

Any guidance would be great. Thanks, Howard

Hi mate,
The recommened pipe for the plus 4 is the Novarossi 9901, but as i found out you only have to look at it and it will dent Sad. I now run the Dynomite 053, this is a copy of the 9901 but a lot stronger ( no ERFA stamp )
I've been using the O'donnell 77 plug on the standard head and also the RB #6 both have worked fine.
If you have a look on the RC TECH fourm there is 90+ page thread on this engine Wink

Thanks Goz, I will certainly take a look on RC tech; I am certainly being drawn to the new Nova's - I would love the Toro but I know it's gonna be too much POWER... wasted on my driving Smiley

Yeaa... +1 at what Goz said... 9901 would literraly melt as you run it... hahahaa... Just kiddin'. Its a good pipe but its a bit thin.. But Novarossi came out with e thicker version of the 9901 called the  9901SS (Super Strong). But Nova pipe's tend to be a wee bit more expensive..

The Plus 4 comes with both normal & turbo plate. The O'donnel plugs are a good option if you can get them.
The Novarossi plugs be it Turbo or Normal get the no.6.

Aztecz - do you think the JP-4 or JP-3 as a choice for the Plus-4? it's been a class pipe for the OS but then I am new to the Nova and how it reacts to other branded pipes.

Reading a lot of what the yanks are saying, the jp-3 is a no no.
The jp-4 is a very good pipe but a little on the thirsty side, you may struggle to get 10 mins out of the Nova with a jp-4.
To be honest you could run any pipe with the Nova with an adjustment of tune, some are just better suited.

Again... I agree with Goz...

JP-4 is an all rounder pipe for a lot of engine.. even the O.S Speed like's them... LOL
But its a gas guzzler alright just take note... thats my personal opinion of course... I don't like it as it sounds a bit... errr... shall we say.. 'Gurgully' in comparison to the Nova's (Maybe thats the sound of fuel sucking out of the tank... LOL) giving it an indication as if the engine sounds 'sort-off' rich at the bottom end.. this is of course my personal opinion.
