The first RC Pro Canada National Championships were held this past weekend in Edmonton Alberta. Over 120 racers made the trek to compete for the championship titles. Mother nature wreaked havoc late Sunday afternoon forcing the cancelation of the last 3 mains. Ty Tessman put on a dominant performance TQ'ing and winning both Expert Buggy and Expert Truggy, securing himself the National titles in those classes. The following racers also took home National titles this weekend; Jason Poirier in 1/8th Open Electric, Kyle Dickson in Intermediate Truggy, Lawrence Barney in Intermediate Buggy, and Dave Cole in Extreme Truck. A big thanks to everyone who has helped make this series a success, and we'll see you all next year!!

RC Pro Series

It was another sucsessful race day in Alberta with 111 entries taking in the second leg of the Alberta Divison Series. Track conditions were extremely dusty which made it chalenging for both the drivers and their machines.  Track conditions were extremely dusty which made it challenging for both the drivers and their machines. The race day ran very briskly and wrapped up just shortly after 6pm. The compressed schedule made it very tough for drivers to wrench on their machines and a few fell to the way side with mechanical issues. Overall agreat time was had by all. See you in Edmonton for the series wrap up and the crowning of our Champions.

RC Pro South Round 1

The season kick off event for the Southern division took place this weekend at N Control RC in Austin Texas. The track crew put together a very challenging layout for this event but even with a high degree of technicality the track was still blazing fast. Practice day came with a lot of dust but on qualifying day the blue groove was developing into what would be a black groove by end of the event on Sunday. The newly bricked Bowl Turn finished with black almost all the way to the top of the turn! Normally this type of track is hard on tires but tire wear was reported as very low for the event.
The turnout for this event after the normal no shows were taken out came in around 250 which provided a lot of close racing in all classes.

Race Reports: RC Pro Round 1 of the new MidSouth Division (634 Reads)

Pro Arena Truck and Buggy winner Derek Weatherholt - Losi

Round 1 of the new MidSouth Division ran this past weekend at Preemo's RC Raceway in White House Tennessee. as has been the norm so far this year the weather reports weren't favoring racing with most of saturday looking clear and sunday showing a 90% chance we opted to run it all on Saturday. This worked well until the rain hit in the middle of the Intermediate Buggy A Main. That race was shortened to 20 minutes instead of the scheduled 30. We waited to see if the rain would be just a quick watering but there was not enough of a let up to try and get the 2 final races in so we had to call it and award the Open Buggy and Pro Buggy A Mains based on qualifying.

Losi dominated the show with wins in 7 of the 8 classes. Pro Mod Truck and 1/8 Electric Buggy were combined in heats and in mains which made for some good racing.

1/8 Electric Buggy -  winner Alan Burton - Losi
Pro Mod Truck - winner Mark Holloway - Traxxas
Intermediate Arena Truck and Buggy winner Jake Waggoner - Losi
Open Arena Truck and Buggy winner Nic Day - Losi
