New Stuff: Nitrolite Fast Fueler (1395 Reads)

Horizon Hobbie UK

Going gas racing can be expensive. Competition  usually means spending a good deal money on trying to beat the next guy. The latest chassis, the best radio money can buy, it all adds up at the end of the day. Some may think it’s the big purchases that will guarantee victory but experience gas competitors will agree that you may as well be pushing a brick with square wheels around the track if your pit stop doesn’t go according to plan. Obviously the most essential piece of kit at fuel stops is what is used to transfer the fuel into the tank. Traditional bottles are all well and good, but they can be messy and eventually they will split. If it does you can go from hero to zero in the blink of an eye. Time to bring the bottle into the 21st century! The brand new Nitrolite fuel gun from Dynamite will see the fuel tank filled in seconds! The pistol grip delivery will automatically shut off when released meaning a full tank every time, so no messy spillages. Using the very latest technology, the Nitrolite fuel gun will help to turn fuel stops into part of a race winning scenario. Advanced internal engineering allows for faster fuel flow, meaning shorter pit stops. All vital alloy parts have also been anodised to add to the smooth efficient trigger action and also reduce the chance of corrosion. It even has a two mode LED light feature to help your crew attract your attention in pit lane. With both fixed and strobe modes it can easily be removed when not appropriate.

Features 2-mode LED light for easier viewing of fuel tank during night running and racing Anodised internal components for reduced corrosion and more efficient operation Advanced internal engineering allows for faster fuel flow, meaning shorter pit stops Auto cut-off ensures a full tank every time with no overfills

The event was held at the now very established Frankley track just on the outskirts of Birmingham. Glyn Morgan and his incredibly dedicated and hard working crew were on site all weekend to make sure the event went off without a hitch and run like clockwork.
Supported by US Panther drivers Ryan Lutz and Aaron Pucci we were expecting some fantastic racing and quick times. Pushing these two Americans all the way were UK drivers Sam Taylor, Elliot Boots, Simon Willets, Edd Kerry, Kevin Brunsden and Mick Cradock just to name a few.

Race Reports: Losi 8ight wins BRCA Round 5 National (1082 Reads)
Posted by admin on Wednesday, August 22, 2007 - 02:24 AM

Horizon Hobbie UK

The latest round of the BRCA 1/8th rally-x championships was yet another wet Rally-x meeting in the UK but due to the excellent work done by the members of the Frankley club the track and surrounding area stayed in a workable state.

The track had a very fast flow to it but with a few difficult jump sections there were sure to be some area's were a driver could catch up or loose time should mistakes be made.
With the track wet and so the traction very low local knowledge did help quite a few people in the early rounds of qualification. As others got more and more used to the conditions the Top ten leader board soon had the usual names back at the top. Graham Alsop had a fantastic day taking the top spot with Simon Willets and David Crompton rounding out the top three. Championship leader Neil Cragg was in 6th place and John Hazelwood 8th (after no practice due to a crystal clash). Darren Bloomfield making his first national appearance this year also made direct qualification into the final in 5th place driving the Losi 8ight, Novarossi engines, blue thunder fuel, KO and Spektrum.
