Piraterc Race Reports : Race Central Winter Series Graham Alsop and Nathan Powney Take Round 1 (1215 Reads)

Race Central Winter series started at a very cold Frankley Model Car Club measuring at Minus 7 degrees at 7am dropping to Minus 9 at Drivers briefing proving to be a true winter series Tony Truman and TTRC Live were again at Frankley with live timing and video footage throughout the event and 58 drivers braved the cold to support the first ever Race central Winter Series  Sorry to say there were a few casualties not attending due to breakdowns on the way to the meeting with forgetting to put anti-Freeze in the radiators and we are sorry you couldn't attend

Round 2 of the ever popular CML Winter Champs took place the weekend with a good turnout of just over 80 drivers, the series saw some new changes to the track and a team up with the designer of the new track Layout and running the Live feed Mr Teddy Truman himself

The weather was kind to us this weekend and conditions improved throughout the day. 52 racers made the trip qualifying was dominated in the buggy by Mike Cradock Kyosho Orion with AKA rubber, Truggy was dominated by rob gray Losi JP with AKA rubber. The Kyosho numbers were up this meeting could this be a sing towards the K cars?

Well with the forecast for no rain the day looked good but, with light rain all day the condition were trying and having the right tyres at the right time would be key.

The clubs air compressor and car wash station would be on overtime all day, the track held up well considering the conditions.
