Xray Buggy Race report by Dave Mackey
Pacer Racing, led by Jon Hazelwood and teamed with Matt Perry, Lee Taylor, Justin Mackey and Alan Bridgeman, entered the XRAY XB8-TQ in a 5-hour endurance race recently. Because all the drivers were rated F1 standard they could only use one car, which made setup and tuning interesting! We suffered a few mechanical problems and although the car was on the pace all day, this meant we could only finish 3rd. It was a fun day overall, though and everyone enjoyed themselves.

Here are some pictures from the event:

The Kyosho Cup was held in Taiwan at the Yilan track this week. Hyper 8 Pro won top honors with TQ and A-main win. The new Hyper driver, Wu-Chong Chen, just received the kit lask week and did not have a chance to test it before the race. He just got it, first time out of the box and clearly dominated the field, including the Taiwan Kyosho team. Wu-Chong Chen said "the Hyper 8 Pro is just a dream and I look forward to the 2007 racing season with it."

1st/TQ Wu-Chong Chen/Hyper 8 Pro

We are in the North of Japan near Aomori : this area is well known for avoiding the Typhon, but this time, the Typhon is over our head ! After the only practice session, the organiser closed the track due to heavy rain. The track built by the EXTREME Club is fantastic, but we had no time to have fun on it !Depending of the weather, the qualification could start Satuday or Sunday Morning.

Xray Buggy

Race report by Peter Harder

This past weekend was the last round of the championship at the NMRC track, south of Copenhagen. The track was good with high grip and some fun new jumps – especially a triple that demanded some courage to do in one step.

Right from the beginning my car felt good and during the day I only changed a few things. I wanted to increase steering and first I tried going down to 2° rear toe-in, but the car became too nervous. The big difference was going from 0° rear anti-squat to full; this really improved the cornering speed. Normally I use full anti-squat but this time I tried 0° to improve the car on the bumpy parts of the track, but I think the track has to be very bumpy before this is good.
