Round 5 of the Florida State Off Road Series was help at the World Famous Lake Park In Tampa with 188 entries. There were a lot of first time drivers to the series and some returning that have been gone awhile. Glad to see both out have a good time.

In Expert 1/8 Buggy, the main was a battle between Ryan, JR, Gene, and Leon. The freight train started o­n the first lap and stayed that way for a long time. At lap 27, Gene Hickerson had a servo go bad while in 2nd. Then at lap 37 both JR, Leon, and Travis dropped out. Leaving o­ne car o­n the lead lap to try and catch "ShowTime" Ryan Eckert. Jason Ruona came with in 8 Sec, but not good enough. Eckert takes the win and the lead in the points.

So at 6:15am ive just woke up as we have a race at 9am and we need to get breakfast!

After ordering from the golden arches who once again get the order wrong its off to the race.

We arrive to a lot of bleary faces and many stories of not leaving pubs, Chinese and god knows where else till the early hours of the morning.

So a rather hectic day started late for myself due to a small snag with sat nav and a traffic jam! The action was welll and truly underway when I got there. Once again many people struggled to find the setup that worked for them whilst other seasoned racers had perfected there cars and had them running in the 35 second lap area nudging 8 and 9 lap rounds!

Well here we are my first report from the Proline Dirt Challenge 2007
A great day of practice which allowed all 12 heats to run 4 rounds of
practice with booking in starting at 7am and racing starting at 9am a
long day was upon all racers!
