Oliver Simon taking the trophy of European Champion

Last weekend the European Championship B took place at the beautiful track in Sand, Germany and it was Team XRAY driver Oliver Simon who won the race with the XRAY XB8EC and took home the victory and title of European Champion "B". The European Championship "B" is one of the most popular and highly-attended off-road races in Europe and usually the race is completely booked a very long time in advance. No wonder, as this is some of the most equal off-road races (but still VERY competitive) as most of the best off-road drivers – usually with no sponsors –from all different European countries gather together to compete for the European Champion title. Despite having the appendix "B" it is still a very prestigious title as this is race of regular drivers.

UK Truggy Pro Round 2 Race Report.

Round 2 of the BRCA UK Truggy Pro and Monster Truck Championship kicked off on a hazy Sunday Morning at the Broxtowe J28M1 track in Mansfield in the midlands of Britain. A loose dry dirt track threw a spanner in the works for most drivers trying to find grip in the dusty environment.

With a wide and varied range of tyres, from HPI Nubz, Proline Hotshots and Bowties as well as Panther Gators and GRP Grips, being used; tyre choice kept drivers guessing throughout the day with most A finalists opting for the Proline Bow Ties.

Simon Willets (Hong Nor/Go) initially set TQ laying down the target of 7 laps in a 5 minute heat, mathematically though an 8 lap qualifier was possible but very difficult.
Championship Leader Hazlewood Xray/Recab) struggled with backmarkers in his qualifing sessions, but third place John Holmes (Hobao/RB) took TQ only for Alsop who, after his unfortunate engine trouble at round one, stamped his big Hobao boots all over the qualifying session by setting the first 8 lap
qualifying heat of the day.

The Monster Mania 2007 race, held in Laupheim, Germany on May 26 - 28, 2007, had 130 drivers attend this special race. Which makes the Monster Mania probably one of the biggest specialised Monster Truck/ Truggy race event all over Europe.The Monster Mania race is a very special event! Besides the regular race event, there are 3 different "games" that are held:
- Trial track (2 laps with overall time counting)
- Pulling
- Freestyle JumpingWith a special point sytem, all four categories count together in order to crown the over Monster Mania champion. Pro-Line's Team Driver, Michael Gaul, took the overall Championship. He set a new freestyle jumping record of 19.5 meters (31.2 ft.).

The Hank Perry 240 is one of the longest running races in the U.S. The event is held at the Spokane R/C club in Spokane, WA. This year marks its 21st anniversary, and housed over 300 entries from all over the Pacific Northwest including some from Canada. The 1:8 buggy class saw an intense battle between Gary Guest, Ryan McCreary (+ 8sec), and Marcus Anzivino (1 lap).
