Race Reports: Kyosho ST-RR is ROAR National Champion (1017 Reads)
Posted by admin on Thursday, May 01, 2008 - 12:16 PM

The Kyosho Inferno ST-RR is the new, 2008 ROAR 1:8 Truck National Champion! The ST-RR is the most evolved, high-performance off-road machine in the truggy class, which is why it's the choice of the new National Champion, Ryan Mayfield, and runner-up Ryan Cavalieri. Both Associated drivers have their choice of truck, and both picked the ST-RR over other trucks that were offered at no charge. Mayfield and Cavalieri know what Team Kyosho has known for a long time - there's simply no match for the quality, durability and performance of the ST-RR. A total of seven ST-RR trucks qualified for the final — more than double the next closest manufacturer. Congratulations and thanks to Ryan Mayfield for bringing home the ROAR National Championship for Kyosho and the ST-RR.

Race Reports: Lee Taylor Takes 4th Place at Frankley National (953 Reads)

Lee Taylor Takes 4th Place with his GRP Powered Xray 808 at BRCA National Round 2

When things are going bad they seem to be constantly go on being bad for ever. Bad luck follows bad luck which is why top teams like Arsenal and Chelsea like to stay winning when they get on a roll.

In our case bad luck has contributed a large part to last years results in the National series but other factors include teenage distractions, outside influences, engine issues so when our luck seemed to have changed we had to grab it by the horns. A missed practice due to the fuel pipe inlet coming loose, seemed to resurrect our run of bad luck. The first round proper we tried what had worked for us in the past but without being able to test with the car in the dry we were grabbing at straws this however and resulted in a slowish 5 min's 34.91 but good enough for a 31 st place.

CML Distribution

Frankley played host to round 2 of the BRCA 1/8th Off Road National series and the weather once again threw a spanner in the works.

Qualifying round 1 saw Darren Bloomfield take the round win with the only 8 lap run of the round. Elliott Boots was very fast but some traffic issues saw him restricted to 6th in round with his RB/Byron powered Associated RC8. Elliott was using the JC Sabretooth tyres and found them to be very fast indeed.
