Novarossi 1
Event:             NOVAROSSI Summer Series Rd. #2;
Track:             Revelation Raceway;
Next event:     Aug. 1st , 2009;
Report:         NOVAROSSI/Losi driver: Adam Drake.
Round 2 of the Nova Rossi Summer series.
The event had 11 heats.
In the buggy class it was Kyosho / Orion’s Cody King who tq’ed round one over me.
In round two the track was dusty and bumpy, but I was able to tq the round by more than 15 seconds over Cody and set a new overall fast time by one second.
In the buggy final me and Cody battled early on, but Cody broke something in his front end at the 15min mark.
This opened the door for Losi’s Matt Schreffler to take home second behind Drake.
All the Losi driver’s in the final used Losi Kingpin tires.
I also tq’ed truck but had radio problems in the final.

Cragg Wins Epic Battle

The 6th round of the BRCA 1/8th Off Road series held at the Clanfield track near Portsmouth, produced a cracker of a main final that saw defending champion, and current series leader Neil Cragg take the spoils.

The track was very bumpy and very dusty in the early stages of qualifying, and it was Neil Cragg who came out of the blocks hardest to take TQ in the opening round just ahead of team mate Craig Drescher. The Reedy powered RC8B's looking both fast and safe on the really choppy surface. Graham Alsop was third with the European Champion RB B9 Engine powering his car.

Race Reports: FEMCA 09 by buggy pitstop (853 Reads)
Posted by admin on Friday, July 24, 2009 - 02:51 AM news

Round 2, everyone had found there groove. The lower heats were run and people were speeding up. The track was getting quicker each heat, people were making less mistakes therefore going quicker. The temperature remained at constant 28oc, so people were not suffering as many flameouts. As in the previous round everyone was waiting to see the two champions race for the honors of round 2. In the warm up laps, Walker suffered a few engine problems. But after a bit of tuning by his pit crew the engine seemed to be sorted. Both Walker and Hara had a good start, these two were on fire! Hara broke into the 39 bracket on his first lap! A lap later Walker also broke the 39 bracket. For a while these two were changing position right the way till the end. Walker would set the fastest lap and then the next lap Hara would set it. These two were neck and neck through out the race! This time Hara came out on top, also going quicker than Walkers 15 lapper. Meaning Hara went into the TQ spot. Walker finished down in 3rd just behind Kenji Osaka.

Hara as now set his sights on doing 16 laps. He was only 4.6 seconds of in round 2. Can he do it this time around?

So after two rounds the qualifying looks like this:
