New Stuff: Ryan Lutz signs 10 year deal with Team Durango (987 Reads)
Posted by admin on Thursday, January 06, 2011 - 02:27 PM news

“I am extremely excited today to have forged a long term contract with Team Durango. Originally we agreed, in principle, to work together until the end of the 2010 season and we would talk longer term come December. Another thing this offered was the chance to really test the DNX408 and get to know the company before making any decisions.

This is why I am so excited to have signed a 10 year contract with Team Durango. In the past three months I have gotten to see how this company operates, and the pride that they take in making top-of-the-line racing vehicles. Their slogan is, “Serious about Racing” and I have never witnessed a company take this more to heart. That is why I am confident that the next 10 years will be wrought with success for both parties involved and why I am proud to put my name alongside Team Durango.

In the next 10 years I will do everything I can to help Team Durango make the best R/C cars on the planet, and help make sure their customers are as satisfied as possible with the products they are buying! All-in-all with this deal of a decade in hand I’m ready to get started winning and performing at my best for this company that has put a lot of faith in me! I’m really looking forward to it!

New Stuff: JConcepts stands strong at 2010 1/8th IFMAR Worlds – debuts new product (1280 Reads)
Posted by admin on Friday, December 17, 2010 - 03:17 PM

JConcepts and Ryan Maifield make their presence known with amazing speed, new products and a lot of memories at the 2010 1/8th IFMAR World Championships.

The right product at the right time combined with the right drivers made the IFMAR Worlds an event to remember for JConcepts. Victory was within grasp, close enough that one could visualize Ryan Maifield holding the trophy. However, it wasn’t to be after Maifield’s speedy Associated RC8b buggy ran short of fuel while swapping for the lead roughly 25 minutes into the A-Final.

New Stuff: A Sure Start review by Brennan Ralls (1255 Reads)
Posted by admin on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 - 03:17 PM news

A while back John Bennett of RC Sure start sent me an engine pre heater to test, promote & give some feed back. To be honest its an area I have never really bothered on although for years I have seen guys with hot air guns trying to warm up the engine heads, for me that just looked to much like hard work to be fun. With the onset of winter now was a great opportunity to put the Sure Start to the test & with its simple design seemed a cracking bit of kit.

Race AKA

AKA is proud to reveal the "last bullet in the clip" for our assault on the 2010 IFMAR World Championships in Pattaya, Thailand. To compliment the release of the EVO wheel and the IMPACT tire, the new soft red insert was designed to decrease the lateral deflection of the tire while at the same time increasing the vertical impact absorption therefore providing better handling in the bumps.
